![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What's retarded about this scene is WHY DRIVE TROUGH? They are American. They just stop at the stairway and stare. Also, the soldiers don't even apprehend the guys who just drove a fucking taxi through a government building. " Also, when the Taxi is driven through the Embassy, the soldiers mysteriously stop shooting the car. It's a young adult girl throwing nades left right and center in a dense populated city. Judging by the fact its Turkey's largest city, where is the police?" "One of the ways Bryan (Liam Neeson) gets his daughter to find him is by throwing grenades at random spots. ![]() Just watched it and OMG what a piece of trash movie. "Lob another grenade, honey!" - said no one in history, ever. The cab would never even come within 50 yards of the embassy. In reality, they are both shot dead from 100 yards away. Not only did Brian INSTRUCT his daughter to plow through an armed barricade of military soldiers in a yellow cab after knowing full well the last bad guy just got ran over by a train, but after being fired upon by a team of trained soldiers with military-grade weapons, and watching the so-called barricade collapse like cardboard, both passengers escape without a scratch. If Brian was driving and the girl was shooting, at least that would have been a bit more believable. It was mentioned before, but the teenage girl suddenly turning into the Transporter circa Jason Statham was one of the biggest plot holes I've ever seen, and I've seen thousands of movies. For anyone who's ever played paintball, the chance that none of those bullets hit any part of his body is approximately 0%. There were easily over 1,000 bullets shot directly at Brian during this movie. And when he finally escapes, he hasn't even suffered a paper cut. He is left alone for hours with no guard in the room. He is not searched so they never discover the device strapped to his ankle. When Brian is taken the first time, his hands are tied together using nothing more than a piece of flimsy plastic within arms reach of a sharp jagged object. There are many more problems with this film than just what the OP said:įirst off, what was Brian (Liam) doing in Istanbul in the first place? Did all of the security jobs in the USA just disappear all of a sudden?Īnd why would a security obsessed ex-marine invite his recently kidnapped daughter to an international city without any security of their own, making them easily accessible to all of his possible enemies, in a city that clearly has no police presence whatsoever? Wouldn't this be emotionally traumatizing? Not so, as just three weeks later Bryan and his family are having malts at a Los Angeles ice cream shop, laughing and smiling as if the attempted rape-murder never happened. Doesn't make any sense.Īlso, Bryan's wife, is kidnapped, almost raped, has had her throat slit, and then suspended by chains and left to drown in her own blood. Judging by the fact its Turkey's largest city, where is the police? It takes at least 10 minutes for the girl to leave the hotel, and yet not a single policeman or police car goes to investigate the fact there are random grenade blasts going on around the city.Īlso, when the Taxi is driven through the Embassy, the soldiers mysteriously stop shooting the car. One of the ways Bryan (Liam Neeson) gets his daughter to find him is by throwing grenades at random spots. Unfortunately, this sequel is absolutely terrible in terms of writing. Taken 2 is the new sequel to the 2008 film Taken. ![]()
